AHA PEARS

The PEARS training course of the AHA is intended for all persons of the medical section dealing with pediatric patients without needing the profound knowledge of a PALS course.

The central subjects of the PEARS are the prevention and the following steps: anamnesis, recognition and stabilization of a pediatric patient showing the risk of cardiopulmonary distress. The focus of PEARS lies on the recognition of symptoms and on the training of stabilization measures before the symptoms get worse. The course is based on a video and accompanied by discussions conducted by instructors. The participants train different scenes on the prepared training stations. For further information please contact us. The training material is available in English language.

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.
